la paz’ stays - top picks for every traveler

July 2024

Hi Travelers and welcome to a new travel letter from the Andes!

How has your travel year been so far? Many of us have been out exploring new places, some of us have new trips booked, and others are dreaming and planning without having anything booked yet.

It's important to remember that traveling isn't just about the moment you leave your home, when you're on your way, or when you reach your destination.

It's also about the journey before you actually leave the dreaming, the reading, the inspiration, and all the planning to make the most of your trip. This part is also beautiful, when you are preparing for your next adventure.

Where to stay in la paz?

Today in our Travel Letter, I'm going to talk about different stay options when you arrive in La Paz.

La Paz is a big city and has all kinds of options and areas for everyone. Southern La Paz, Zona Sur, is known for being the calmest and most modern area of the city. The center, with Sagarnaga Street and the tourist area, is a mix of the world and traditional Bolivia with its beautiful markets, squares and churches, travel agencies, and souvenir shops. Sopocachi is the area for young and trendy La Paz people with a lot of cafes, bars, and restaurants. Choose the area that fits you best!
